§A  Synopsis

A chat, voice and video app that runs over LANs, intranets and CGNAT networks — no company cloud in the middle. Anyone can host; everyone on that host can message, call and share a server.

Connections are organised around hosts, not accounts. A host runs an embedded signalling server; presence, friend requests, messages and media all flow through it, so everything stays on your own network.

No WebRTC. Audio is encoded to Opus and video to VP8 with the browser's own WebCodecs, sent as binary frames over Socket.IO, and relayed by the host. No peer connection is ever opened.
